The notoriously poor audio inherent in the source material used in every official release has been completely reconstructed using a variety of sources (including Karloff's original vocal take of him reading the book, isolated score recordings, and more), resulting in a brand-new audio mix that is clear and completely faithful to the original. The audio cues and effects, which were often out of sync in previous releases and broadcasts, have been corrected. The picture has been digitally cleaned and color-corrected, and the defective frames seen in the DVD/BD releases have also been repaired.
