A disfigured musical genius, hidden away in the Paris Opera House, terrorizes the opera company for the unwitting benefit of a young protégée whom he trains and loves.
This edit showcases Joel Schumacher's 2004 film adaptation, synchronized with the original 1986 cast recording of the musical, featuring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford in the lead roles. The entire film has been modified to mimic the appearance of an old, damaged 1920s film print. Serving as an homage to both the 1925 silent film starring Lon Chaney and the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, this "1920s Edition" includes two separate audio tracks : one is a remastered version of the original London cast recording, and the other offers the same recording with a vintage, worn sound, complementing the film's 1920s aesthetic.
