The Witches : The Roald Dahl Cut seeks to bring the film closer to the beloved book it was inspired by. The awful happy ending that Roald Dahl despised has been completely removed, with the new ending now faithfully mirroring that of the book. The "vulgar" elements (as Dahl himself described them) have also been cut, along with the ridiculous subplot of the bad witch turning good. Several scenes have been reordered and re-edited. Presented in a remastered HD version with a new 5.1 audio mix, this revised cut offers an even more faithful adaptation of the story, sure to delight anyone who appreciates Roald Dahl's distinctive style and marks the film as arguably the best adaptation of his work.
